Pastor Timothy Haahs
Tim is a two-time heart transplant recipient, 1993 and 1999. He realized that a person had to die in order for him to live. This awakening had a profound impact in defining his purpose in life. Upon his first surgery, he sat out to live his life of helping the needs of others. He first found a company with a mission statement of “We exist to help those in need.” A few years later, when he was installed as a pastor of this church, he adopted a same purpose statement. “Transforming lives in Christ to serve others.” This call to serve other comes from the Bible verse: “Love your neighbor as yourselves.” To love others as yourselves is to sacrifice for one another as Jesus did for us.
Pastor Bienvenido (Ben) Rosario
Inner City Ministry
Ben’s Spanish name means “Welcome” and rightfully so. You will find that he is one of the most welcoming people you will ever meet! His enthusiasm is contagious. He serves his local community in Philadelphia in both the spiritual and practical way by hosting numerous events to evangelize, clean streets, give free clinical aid, give free haircuts, provide financial service, and much more.
He has a tremendous heart for inner-city youth and has been a leader in providing an outlet for youth through the creation of a flag football league in his local neighborhood. This not only creates a safe place for youth and young adults to exercise, but also provides mentoring, teaches sportsmanship, and teamwork.
